General Information
· Please support your child at home by reading with him/her nightly, ensuring homework is completed AND working as a family to complete the monthly homework projects.
Weekly Objectives: Literacy
· With prompting and support, identify characters, settings, and major events in a story
· With prompting and support, ask and answer questions about unknown words in a text
· Ask and answer questions in order to seek help, get information, or clarify something that is not understood.
· Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to compose opinion pieces
· Students will recognize and read irregularly spelled words.
Math
· Describe objects in the environment using names of shapes, and describe the relative positions of these objects using terms such as above, below, beside, in front of, behind, and next to.
· Correctly name shapes regardless of their orientations or overall size
